Histology Services are critical to anatomic pathology. Our professional staff of histotechnologists and pathology assistants are highly trained and offer superior support. We can provide short or long term tissue processing, sectioning, and slide generation using state-of-the art equipment. Slide quality is excellent. We also understand the importance of rapid turn-around-time and will work with you to implent a schedule of slide delivery that meets the needs of your department. We offer an extensive menu of routine and histochemical special stains for tissue and bone marrow specimens. Dr. Dennis Frisman heads our immunoperoxidase laboratory. He has had extensive experience in this field. He is the former Chief of Immunopathology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. Dr. Frisman has developed a comprehensive list of immunoperoxidase stains of extremely high quality. Consultation services are also available. APMG maintains the ImmunoQuery¨ website. For solid tumors, we offer DNA analysis. Not all tumors qualify, but for those that do, we have developed expansive reports that clearly explain the utility of ploidy analysis. LIke all our reports, the headers can be customized with hospital or other site-specific logos. Dr. Michael Dugan is in charge of our flow cytometry laboratory for hematopoietic malignancies. We offer 4 color histogram reports. We are also in the process of setting up additional molecular pathology tests. We view FISH and PCR testing as key future technologies supporting traditional pathology diagnostics.
